Club Ferro Carril Oeste (usually referred simply as Ferro) is an Argentine sports club founded on July 28, 1904 by 95 railway workers in the Buenos Aires neighbourhood of Caballito. It participates in many different sports with professional football, basketball, and volleyball (men's and women's) teams, and had a very prominent role in Argentine football in the 1980s.

After the foundation, the directors and workers of the railway company, obtained from company land to be used for a football stadium and some other sports installations. At the end of the 1970s Ferro Club had about 45,000 members.

Ferro at the present time plays in the second division, they have a history of success winning the following titles:

First Division: Nacional 1982, Nacional 1984

Second Division: (1912), 1958, 1963, 1970, 1978

In the 1980s, the club had their golden period, obtaining two titles and several records.

Ferro has set three notable records in the Argentine Primera:

In the Metropolitano 1981 championship their goalkeeper Carlos Barisio set a national record by not conceding a goal for 1,075 minutes of football, this includes a run of 10 complete games without letting in a goal.

Ferro set the record for the longest run without scoring a goal; they went 875 minutes without scoring between the end of Apertura 98 and Clausura 99.

When Ferro won the 1982 National championship, they achieved it without losing a single game, they were only the 2nd team to achieve the feat after San Lorenzo. River Plate and Boca Juniors have also achieved this feat later in the 1990s.

The Buenos Aires Western Derby (El Clásico del Oeste) is played between Ferro and Vélez Sársfield.
